Editor’s note

11 of the 673 hair we track fit this page. They are ordered by what people are actually buying — sales volume first, then how deep the review base is behind the rating. We haven’t tested them in a bathroom; nobody honestly has tested 673. What we can do is read the numbers straight and tell you what each one is.

We don't publish prices — Amazon changes them constantly and a stale number helps nobody. Tiers below show where each product sits; tap through for the live price.

How we narrowed it down

We started with every one of the 673 hair in our catalogue and kept the 11 that genuinely fit "purple shampoo". Ranking is by real monthly sales volume and review depth, so the top of this list is what people are actually buying rather than whatever carries the fattest commission.

The current pick is the Olaplex N°.4P Blonde Enhancer Purple Shampoo | Toning Hair, 250 mL, sitting in the mid tier and holding 4.4 stars across 100 reviews. Options here span mid through upper, and most cluster in the mid tier — useful context, because anything well below that is usually cutting something real.

We don't print prices anywhere on this site. Amazon moves them constantly and a stale figure is worse than none; the tier tells you roughly where a product sits and the link gives you today's number.

Review count matters as much as the star average. A 4.3 across several thousand reviews is a stronger signal than a 4.9 across nine, and we weight it that way.
